A rising star...? 4/6/2008 - I have been impressed by the quality and originality of the compositions that are being submitted to my Learning Community Quintet. Recently I received one such composition from a 16 year old composer/pianist in Maine by the name of Dana Malseptic. Learning Community Quintet Formed - Great opportunity for jazz composers and fans! 1/21/2008 - I am pleased and excited to announce the formation of my new quintet featuring Eric Alexander - tenor saxophone, Brian Lynch - trumpet, Jim McNeeely - piano, Todd Coolman (yours truly) - bass, and Lewis Nash - drums. We (and/or occasional surprise guest artists!) are planning to begin gathering original compositions from YOU. We will examine your work and offer our constructive critique from a players standpoint. We will provide valuable insight into what performers of your music look and listen for in a tune that attracts their interest.
